Remedi have recently been working with a young person in Manchester youth justice service who committed a criminal damage offence at Manchester Youth Zone by branding the outside walls with graffiti. Our victim worker, Katie, worked with this young person to help him to understand the impact of his offence. Katie then linked in with Manchester Youth Zone as the young person wanted to apologize and show how sorry he was by decorating one of the walls there with inspirational art.
They together worked with an artist to create a great piece of art! This is a fantastic piece of direct restorative justice work that really helped both the young person and the Youth Zone move on from the offence in a positive way!
