This year’s theme for young carers action day ‘Give Me A Break’ gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate our incredible young carers.

We were delighted to host some of our young carers at a special lunch with the Lord Mayor of the City of Manchester, Cllr Paul Andrews, whose theme for the year is to highlight the importance of supporting our carers!

We were delighted to be joined by some young carers, their school champions, our friend Professor Saul Becker, who is regarded as the world leader for young carers’ research, policy and practice.

We also enjoyed a special visit from Berry the young carers cat!  During the event, young carers took part in creative activities and had lots of inspiring conversations, followed by a delicious lunch of sandwiches, scones, and chocolate crumbles.

A huge thank you to all who took part in making this celebration a truly memorable occasion.
