Calling all environmentalists! Connell Co-op College has launched The Green Idea Competition, open to primary and secondary school students from across Manchester (key stages 1-5).

To enter, young people must put forward a ‘green idea’, encourage their school to act upon it, and produce a poster (A3 – A1 in size), and report (up to two sides of A4), on its impact.

Submit your report and poster to ouryear@connell.ac.uk by Friday 10 June.

For more information, visit the Connell Co-op College webpage here, or scan the QR code on the poster.

Shortlisted entries will be invited to present their report at the Bee Green Education Summit in June – there are prizes to be won for the best ideas!

What is the Bee Green Education Summit?

On 30 June, leaders from nurseries, schools and colleges will be attending the Bee Green Education Summit at Connell Co-op College. The event, involving 100 youngsters, will see young people challenge their headteachers and politicians to do more to tackle the climate crisis.

In preparation for the event, young people will attend a 2-day workshop to learn about climate change and create films, podcasts and songs to express their concerns.

More on the Summit to be announced soon!
