For the first time ever, Manchester has elected four Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) to represent the city’s young people on the national stage.
Following a competitive election, over 20 outstanding candidates delivered inspiring speeches and campaigned passionately on the issues that matter most to young people. We are delighted to congratulate our newly elected MYPs:
Mackenzie – Wythenshawe
Nour – Manchester Central
Viona – Manchester South
Victor – Manchester North
Over the next year, our new MYPs will champion the voices of young people across Manchester, leading campaigns on important issues including gender-based violence, political education, youth participation, and much more.
We are excited to support them as they represent Manchester locally, regionally and nationally.
If you’d like to hear more about their work or explore opportunities to collaborate with the MYPs, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at youthengagement@manchester.gov.uk
